Description: This is my recipe for hummus that I've tweaked over the years and have exactly as I like it.

Serving Size: 1 Big Bowl

Difficulty: Easy

  • 2 cans - garbonzo beans/chick peas
  • 2 cloves minced garlic (more if you like garlic)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • Drain liquid off of beans. Put in sauce pan with just enough water to cover them and bring them to a simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Combine water, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and tahini in bowl. Drain beans and add them to the rest of the ingredients.
  • Blend until smooth - add more water for a smoother hummus.
  • Serve warm or cold with fresh veggies, crackers, or pita.
