    Default Hamburger Stroganoff

    Order nail wraps from a Jamberry Independent Consultant
    Description: Pretty easy recipe that tastes great & reheats really well.

    Difficulty: Easy

    Ingredients:
    • 1 pound hamburger
    • ½ cup chopped onion (onion flakes work fantastic too)
    • ¼ cup butter
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1 tsp. garlic salt
    • ¼ tsp pepper
    • 1 4-oz. can of mushrooms (or fresh mushrooms is fine)
    • 1 cup sour cream or unflavored yogurt
    • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (with one can of water)
    • 2 or 3 cups of egg noodles
    Steps:
    • Cook and stir hamburger and onion in butter in a 10” skillet until the hamburger is light brown.
    • Stir in flour, salt, garlic salt, pepper & mushrooms.
    • Cook, stirring constantly for five minutes.
    • Stir in soup and water.
    • Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
    • Reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
    • Stir in sour cream and heat through.

    Heart Healthy modifications: To modify this dish to be heart healthy – I drain the ground beef after browning. I’ve also made it before using maybe a tablespoon of butter too versus ¼ cup of butter. I’ve also done ½ yogurt & ½ sour cream (fat-free or reduced fat), as well as the Healthy Request Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup. You could use the No-Yolks egg noodles also.
