Default Easiest Omelette You'll Ever Make

Order nail wraps from a Jamberry Independent Consultant
Description: This is easy and lower fat version of an omelette will have you swearing you'll never make an omelette the old way again! (And your house won't smell like eggs after cooking it!)

    Serving Size: 1 Omelette

    Difficulty: Easy

    Ingredients:
    • 2 eggs scrambled (or egg substitute equivalent)
    • splash of milk
    • 1 quart sized sealable plastic freezer bag (like Ziploc)
    • any ingredients you like in your omelette (I like salsa, mushrooms, and cheese!)
    Steps:
    • Fill a medium pot halfway with water and bring to a low boil.
    • Pour eggs, milk, and any other ingredients you want in your omelette into the freezer bag. (No need to grease the inside of the bag.)
    • Get as much air out of the bag as possible before sealing it. Knead the bag with your fingers to mix all the ingredients together.
    • Place bag into boiling water for 15 minutes, turning once during cooking. Remove bag from water with tongs.
    • Open or cut the bag and the omelette will slide right out the bag! (Discard bag - it cannot be used again.)

It's VERY important that you get as much of the air out as possible before sealing. And make sure you have enough water in the pot so that the bag is not sitting on the bottom. Use a bigger pot to make multiple omelettes at once.

This is a great recipe if you are having a bunch of people for breakfast or brunch. Just have each person put whatever they like in their own bag and then cook them all together in a large pot.
