    I suppose you could but you don't have to. If I do it the night before, I just brown the sausage and put it in tupperware. Then assemble and bake. It doesn't need to soak into bread or anything.

    I haven't made this in a while - should I brown the crescent rolls slightly in the oven before adding everything else to them and then baking longer? I've done casseroles with crescents before and I seem to remember the rolls not getting done enough.

    I've never browned them before. The only problem I have is that the eggs go underneath the dough but it still cooks.

    Anna, I made this christmas morning, and didn't pre-bake the crescent portion at all. It turned out fine...however, I do remember that I had the dish fairly low in the oven, since I was baking some other things at the same time, maybe that helped?

    I made this same thing Cherie, but I add pepperjack to give it a little kick and some italian seasoning. Yum!

    Mel, I have made it the night before, it will just take a little longer to bake since everything will be cold.
