    Default Aunt Mary's Cut Cookies

    Order nail wraps from a Jamberry Independent Consultant
    Description: Great recipe for holiday cut cookies

    Preparation: Combine 1st four ingredients in a bowl

    Difficulty: Medium

    Ingredients:
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 5 cups flour
    • 3 cups white sugar
    • 1 pound butter
    • 4 eggs
    • 2 tsp vanilla
    Steps:
    • Cream together butter and sugar.
    • Add eggs and vanilla and mix until well blended.
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing well.
    • When well blended, refrigerate dough in 3-4 balls in preparation for rolling/cutting the cookies.
    • For pressed cookies: add dough to cookie press and press onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 until light brown at the edges (time varies based on cookie size).
    • For cut cookies:
    • Prepare work surface and rolling pin by sprinkling with flour.
    • Roll out dough to desired thickness and cut. Place cookies on cookie sheet and bake at 375 until brown around the edges (time varies based on cookie size). If using sugar to decorate, sprinkle before putting in the oven.

    or does he have his own top secret recipe?

    That is the recipe he uses. He substitutes the Mother's Margarine for Passover for the butter.
