Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons salad oil
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can (28 oz) tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp oregano leaves
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 oz (3 cups) macaroni
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
Steps:
  • In large skillet, saute onion in oil until crisp tender.
  • Add beef, brown, stirring to separate particles.
  • Drain beef.
  • Stir in tomatoes, sauce, parsley, salt, oregano, and garlic powder- simmer a minute or two.
  • Meanwhile cook macaroni as directed; drain.
  • In a 2 quart casserole, lightly mix cooked macaroni and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Stire in sauce.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake at 375 for 20 to 30 minutes (until bubbling)
