    Default Banana Whip

This is the easiest, healthiest ice cream like dessert ever. I just discovered this last night and life will never be the same.

    Ingredients: Frozen Bananas.

That's it. Just frozen bananas in the food processor.

    Whipped Bananas. Observe:

Apparently bananas contain natural gums and when frozen you can whip them into this frozen dessert that tastes JUST LIKE SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM. I am not kidding around here folks. Go put bananas in the freezer. Now.

Let the food processor go 3 - 5 minutes, until smooth and creamy.

Ava, who can be skeptical of my healthy desserts, sampled, asked for a bowl and then came back for seconds. So good.

NOTHING but frozen bananas! That's it! This gluten free, dairy free, raw, nothing but straight up banana goodness.

And so many possibilities! You can add shredded coconut, cocoa powder, peanut butter, nuts, other fruits, on top or blended in. But honestly, it was amazing with no frills too. I've only just begun to scratch the surface on the possibilities with this!

My only caution is that if you don't have a heavy duty food processor, cut bananas up into small chunks as you are getting ready to freeze them, to save your food processor motor and blade some of the work. My chunks were a little too big and it made my food processor dance around a bit until it got things under control.

You won't be sorry, I promise.

Maybe, I'm not sure. I find my blender works best when I'm using liquid too. Maybe if you try it in small batches or let the bananas soften up a bit? I'd say it's worth experimenting with.

Jenn, et me know how the blender works. I don't have a food processor *gasp* and I can't see myself running out and buying one to whip up some bananas.
