    @booboo, I just made them and got 5 pints. I also seemed to be short on liquid, unless it doesn't matter if they aren't totally covered?

    I have no idea But thanks for the info! I now have one cuke that has gone bad in my fridge, another fresh one, and 3 curled/deformed ones ..... not sure I'll get enough any time soon.

    They aren't made from regular cucumbers - you need pickling cucumbers, which are much smaller and bumpy.

    Oh, I see. My garden doesn't have room for them so I just bought a bunch at the farmers market. Maybe you can buy some extras so that you have enough for a batch?
